Kabuki Blythe

Kabuki's Story:
She originally came to me to be customized for the winner of the Halloween Blythe Contest in 2007. When she was completed in December 2007, I sent her to her owner. In 2009 the owner was selling some of their dolls and I asked the owner if they were going to sell the Kabuki blythe. In a mutual agreement the doll came back to me. I tried to bond with her, took more photos of her, restyled her, but unfortunately we could not bond. I even considered re-customizing her. I did not want to do that because I believe every custom I do is a work of art. I don't make public customs often because I love them and I feel like a part of me goes with them. In any case, I wanted to give Kabuki a new life with someone who would appreciate her. I hope you agree that she is truly something special to have.

As a side note, this is a custom art piece and is not intended for children (ages 12 and under). As a custom there are imperfections though I do guarantee high quality industry standards for all my custom prototypes/toys.

Price of Custom

This custom retails for $1500 USD

Opening offers start at $750 USD

(See Side Bar on the Right for More Info)

Full insurance, domestic, and EMS (international) shipping is included. If you live overseas I will try my best to not cost you too much in customs, but I will have to declare something to have the item be insured. It is a work of art that *must* be protected. If you make an offer, you agree to these terms.

Payment Options
  • I only accept paypal. No e-checks are allowed.
  • If you live locally we can talk, otherwise there is no other option.
  • If you live in California, tax is included in the price.
  • There is a possibility of layaway, but we would need to discuss it first.
  • Once there is a definite final offer, the winner must pay in full, and payment must clear before receiving the doll.
  • If there is some sort of payment plan, payments must clear first before receiving the doll.
If you make an offer, you agree to these terms. I am a very reasonable person and I am willing to talk with you through e-mail, on the phone, or any other way possible.

The cherry blossom paper design was made in illustrator, printed on an inkjet, and then attatched to the shoji frame. It is possible to replace the paper with other items if need be. The screens were not made in a traditional manner, but were handmade, handcut, sanded, primed, painted, and put together with love. Even the hinges were customized so they will fit to the frame properly. They open and close like normal 1:1 scale screens.
